Toward Engineering Intra-Receptor Interactions into Bis(crown ethers)

Abstract: A synthetic receptor was designed in which cooperative binding of two crown ether moieties to an alkali metal ion simultaneously causes two hydrophobic substituents not involved in direct host-guest interactions to converge.
