Towards a Circular Economy: A Case Study of Waste Conversion into Housing Units in Cotonou, Benin

Abstract: Cotonou is the largest city and main economic centre of the nation of Benin, Africa. Following independence, the city has experienced major population growth resulting in the extensive development of slums on flood plains and marshes causing the loss of biodiversity of these fragile ecosystems.
