Towards Stable Free Lead Mixed Halide Perovskite Thin Films on FTO-Coated Glass Substrate

Abstract: All-inorganic cesium (Cs) lead perovskites have better thermal and chemical stability than organic–inorganic hybrids. They therefore represent a hope for stability and increased performance of perovskites as absorber layers in photovoltaic solar cells. In the present work, we have deposited different layers on FTO-coated glass substrates using the one-step spin-coating method. The results of the lead substitution are presented and critically discussed. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) results show four peaks for al… Show more

“…However, challenges persist in terms of stability under harsh conditions and achieving higher efficiency. Organic solar cells (OSCs) utilize carbon-based materials in the active layer, providing flexibility and potential cost savings in manufacturing [39,40]. They are lightweight, adaptable, and suitable for unconventional form factors.…”

“…The atomic positions were optimized using the conjugate gradient method up until the forces on each atom were less than 0.01 eV A −1 ; and the energy convergence was less than 10 −8 eV for the optimization and less than 10 −5 eV for calculations with the hybrid functional. For the Brillouin zone integration, a 12 × 12 × 6 Monkhorst–Pack scheme k-point mesh was used [ 111 , 112 , 113 , 114 ] both for the optimization and the electronic structure calculation.…”
