Tracing the Active Phase and Dynamics for Carbon Nanofiber Growth on Nickel Catalyst Using Environmental Transmission Electron Microscopy (Small Methods 6/2022)
Abstract:In article number 2200235, Senftle, Zhang, Liu, and co-workers tracked carbon growth on a Ni catalyst via in-situ environmental transmission electron microscopy. They found that Ni 3 C particles grow carbon nanofibers through layer-by-layer by synchronized oscillation of tip stretch and atomic step fluctuations, which is just like the construction of a new high building.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
