Abstract:Introduction: Enterocutaneous fistulas (ECFs) can be caused by abscess formation at the site of anastomotic leakage (AL) after surgery. Rectocutaneous fistula following low anterior resection (LAR) is rare, and medical management of ECFs is usually the initial treatment.
