Abstract:Bacterial spot (BS) disease of pepper, incited by Xanthomonas campestris pv. Vesicatoria (Xcv), is one of the most serious diseases. For a comparative analysis of defense response to Xcv infection, we performed a transcriptome analysis of BS -susceptible cultivar ECW and -resistant cultivar VI037601 using the HiSeq™ 2500 sequencing platform.
