Empowerment through productive zakat is the effort of the Madina Zone of Dompet Dhuafa to create an independent society by developing business that utilize the potential of the community itself. Empowerment programs are needed by the community to be able to overcome economic in a sustainable manner. The majority of Indonesia’s population is Muslim, so one of the empowerment programs that is considered relevant is the empowerment through productive zakat as practiced by Madina Zone of Dompet Dhuafa. The empowerment of community is related to self-reliance. Self-reliance can be achieved through empowerment by involving participation from the community. The purpose of this research is to identify the influence of empowerment through a productive zakat carried out by Madina Zone on community self-reliance. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach supported by qualitative data. The location of this study was in the Jampang Village, Kemang District, Bogor Regency. The results of the study showed a significant level of empowerment in participation and a significant level of participation in self-relience.

Abstract. This research discusses the management of the largest Islamic philanthropy in Indonesia which has a movement in helping to solve various problems experienced by society using the approach of values in Islam and the concept of community empowerment. The research methods used are descriptive qualitative and phenomenological approaches. The data in this study was taken with interview and documentation techniques. This research focuses on studying two major Islamic philanthropies in Indonesia, namely Dompet Dhuafa and Lazis NU. The results of this study say that Dompet Dhuafa and Lazis NU as Islamic philanthropy have management that is not much different from the concept of social institution management in general. There are two important points in this research. First, Dompet Dhuafa and Lazis NU in the process of distributing aid also involve the concept of empowerment and both Islamic philanthropy also follow the process of empowering well. Second, Dompet Dhuafa and Lazis NU also have organizational management based on Community Base Organization. This is indicated by the orientation owned by the two Islamic philanthropies, namely as a non-profit institute oriented to social change.Keywords: Islamic philanthropy, empowerment, organizational management. Abstrak. Penelitian ini membahas manajemen filantropi Islam terbesar di Indonesia yang memiliki gerakan dalam membantu menyelesaikan berbagai persoalan yang sedang dialami oleh masyarakat dengan menggunakan pendekatan nilai-nilai dalam Islam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dan pendekatan fenomenologi. Data-data dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik wawancara dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini fokus mengkaji dua filantropi Islam terbesar di Indonesia, yaitu Dompet Dhuafa dan Lazis NU. Hasil penelitian ini mengatakan bahwa Dompet Dhuafa dan Lazis NU sebagai filantropi Islam memiliki manajemen pengelolaan yang tidak jauh berbeda dengan konsep manajemen lembaga sosial pada umumnya. Terdapat dua poin penting dalam penelitian ini. Pertama, Dompet Dhuafa maupun Lazis NU dalam proses penyaluran bantuan melibatkan konsep pemberdayaan dan kedua filantropi Islam tersebut juga mengikuti proses penyelenggaraan pemberdayaan dengan baik. Kedua, Dompet Dhuafa dan Lazis NU memiliki manajemen organisasi yang berbasis Community Base Organization. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan orientasi yang dimiliki oleh kedua filantropi Islam tersebut, yaitu sebagai lembaga non-profit yang berorientasi pada perubahan sosial.Kata Kunci: Filantropi Islam, pemberdayaan, manajemen organisasi.

Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pelayanan kesehatan oleh mitra kepada masyarakat yang kurang mampu (kaum dhuafa). Mitra yang dipilih adalah sebuah lembaga yang sangat memperhatikan kondisi masyarakat yang miskin (kaum dhuafa), Layanan Kesehatan Cuma-Cuma ini sebuah lembaga nirlaba yang merupakan salah satu unit dari Dompet Dhuafa Palembang. Staf dan karyawan di LKC berjumlah 15 orang, dan hampir semuanya belum memahami pentingnya penggunaan inverter sebagai penghemat daya di klinik LKC. Permasalahan di klinik LKC DD Sumsel adalah belum memiliki peralatan penghemat daya berupa inverter berbasis solar sel yang aman terhadap lingkungan, sedangkan perlatan kesehatan di LKC banyak yang menggunakan listrik. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut tim pengabdian berinisiatif mengadakan sosialisasi penggunaan inverter sebagai penghemat daya yang benar dan tepat, serta sosialisasi pemeliharaan instalasi listrik yang benar. Setelah sosialisasi terjadi peningkatan pemahaman pemakaian peralatan inverter sebesar 75%, dari 25%, sehingga terjadi peningkatan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan.Abstract: This service activity aims to improve health services by partners to disadvantaged communities (the poor). The partner chosen is an institution that is very concerned about the conditions of the poor (poor), Free Medical Services is a non-profit organization which is a unit of the Dompet Dhuafa Palembang. The staff and employees at LKC are 15 people, and almost all of them do not yet understand the importance of using an inverter as a power saver at LKC clinics. The problem at the LKC DD Sumsel clinic is that it does not yet have power-saving equipment in the form of solar cell-based inverters that are safe for the environment, while many health equipment in LKC uses electricity. Based on these conditions the dedication team took the initiative to conduct socialization of the use of inverters as a true and right power saver, as well as a socialization of the maintenance of the correct electrical installations. After the socialization, there was an increase in understanding of the use of inverter equipment by 75%, from 25%, resulting in an increase in the quality of health services.
