Background: This study aimed to validate the programme learning outcomes (PLOs) in a Lebanese pharmacy school. It also aimed to assess curricular effectiveness through self-reported assessments of recently graduated BPharm students and investigate if academic and sociodemographic characteristics impact learning outcomes’ achievement. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted through an online questionnaire. The initial section of the questionnaire gathered data concerning academic and sociodemographic characteristics, while the second section centred around a scale-based self-declared assessment of the PLOs. Results: The validated BPharm PLOs encompassed six distinct domains, comprising a total of 20 competencies and 110 learning outcomes. All competencies were successfully extracted with factor analysis and appropriately loaded on their respective domains. The internal consistency of the competencies and domains was confirmed by Cronbach’s alpha, with values ranging from 0.741 (good) to 0.957 (excellent). The graduates indicated their proficiency across all domains, with an average percentage grade ranging from 87.29% for professionalism to 87.55% for the approach to practice and care. Conclusion: The findings reveal a valid structure of the current PLOs with robust internal consistency. The high proficiency levels of graduates across all competency domains confirm the effectiveness and structural integrity of the curriculum.

The World Health Organization (WHO), with the scientific support of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), guides the development of multisource pharmaceutical products for market authorization using in vivo bioequivalence studies or, where applicable, in vitro biowaiver strategies based on the Biopharmaceutical Classification System (BCS). A review of the regulatory framework guiding generic medicines approval in Latin American countries revealed that less than 50% of regional health authorities offer a generic medicines development pathway utilizing a BCS-based biowaiver strategy. Aligned with the ONE FIP Strategy to facilitate access to medicines, a regional case study was carried out to implement and harmonize BCS-based biowaiver knowledge in Latin American countries. A steering committee involving regional representatives from health authorities, the pharmaceutical industry, and universities were established to coordinate to develop activities. A series of digital engagement events were held in Spanish and English with representatives from Latin America to share knowledge on BCS-based regulatory strategy, promote collaborations, and explore the alignment of biowaiver approval and regulatory pathways among Latin American countries. Feedback from diverse Latin American stakeholders demonstrated inconsistent implementation of bioequivalence testing within the region. However, there is support for a synergistic approach among countries to reduce duplication and increase efficiency in market authorization for generic medicines. This includes alignment with the WHO Prequalification of Medicines program as well as the development of a computational database for the classification of active pharmaceutical ingredients to demonstrate therapeutic interchangeability of immediate-release oral dosage forms according to the BCS. FIP-facilitated digital learning opportunities raised awareness of the BCS-based biowaiver regulatory strategy among Latin American stakeholders. It resulted in a plan to continually strengthen collaborative efforts in the region to harmonize regulations relevant to drug development generics medicines to introduce cost-effective medicines products that benefit public health.

Objective: This study aims to investigate the relationships between Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Training, Teamwork, and medical personnel performance in hospital settings.Method: Data were collected from medical personnel in various hospitals, and multiple regression analysis was employed to examine the associations between OHS, Training, Teamwork, and medical personnel performance. Additionally, multicollinearity tests and Normal P-Plot Regression Standardized Residual analysis were conducted to ensure the reliability of the findings.Findings: The results indicate significant positive relationships between OHS, Training, Teamwork, and medical personnel performance. Specifically, conducive OHS environments, effective training programs, and collaborative teamwork dynamics were found to enhance medical personnel performance significantly.Novelty: This study contributes to the existing literature by providing empirical evidence of the importance of OHS, Training, and Teamwork in improving medical personnel performance. The findings underscore the critical role of these factors in optimizing healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.Research Implications: The findings suggest that healthcare organizations should prioritize creating safe and healthy work environments, investing in comprehensive training programs, and fostering effective teamwork practices to enhance medical personnel performance. These implications have significant implications for improving operational efficiency and patient care quality in healthcare settings
