Abstract:The transient coupled radiative and conductive heat transfer in a semitransparent composite under the complex boundary conditions is investigated by the ray tracing method in combination with Hottel's zonal method and the control-volume method. The composite is composed of two plane layers of nonscattering semitransparent media with the different thermophysical properties in each layer. Both boundary surfaces and the internal interface are semitransparent. The reflections are assumed diffuse or specular. The t… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
