Abstract: Pikeperch (Sander Lucioperca) belongs to main predatory fish species in freshwater bodies throughout Europe playing the key role by reducing planktivorous fish abundance. Two size classes of the young‐of‐the‐year (YOY) pikeperch are known in Europe and North America.
