Abstract:Translators often face challenges when dealing with unfamiliar terms, particularly in specialized fields like mechanical engineering. This study investigates the translation techniques employed by students in the Mechanical Engineering Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, Indonesia, when translating texts from English for Engineering textbook.
