Translocation Biosensors—Versatile Tools to Probe Protein Functions in Living Cells

Abstract: In this chapter, you will learn how to use translocation biosensors to investigate protein functions in living cells. We here present three classes of modular protein translocation biosensors tailored to investigate: (1) signal-mediated nucleo-cytoplasmic transport, (2) protease activity, and (3) protein-protein interactions.
