Abstract:Nanoporous materials find widespread application in material upgrading by separation (“molecular sieving”) and catalytic conversion. Mass transfer in these materials is a key phenomenon deciding about their technological performance. This chapter deals with the application of measurement techniques which are able to follow the diffusive fluxes of the guest molecules in such materials over “microscopic” distances, including the pulsed field gradient (PFG) technique of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and the te… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
