Abstract:The problem of finding stress resultants in an infinite plate under bending which contains infinite rows of circular holes of equal radius with their centers placed periodically along the horizontal and vertical lines is discussed on the basis of the Poisson‐Kirchhoff theory of thin plates. The parametric coefficients involved in the solution are determined by using the method of perturbation. For some special cases, numerical results are given.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
