Abstract:Abstract-In the present paper, trapping parameters of normal and thermally aged low-density polyethylene (LDPE) samples were estimated using the improved charge dynamic model. The results show that, after long-term thermal ageing process, the injection barrier of both electrons and holes is lowered, the overall trap depth is shallower and electron trap density becomes much greater. The latter may indicate that electrons are more sensitive to ageing than those of holes.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
