“…The majority of endoparasites identified in L. guigna have also been found in domestic carnivores (Tagle 1966; Alcaino and Gorman 1999; Bowman et al 2002; López et al 2006; Landaeta-Aqueveque et al 2014; Acuña-Olea et al 2020), of which several have zoonotic potential including C. aerophila , S. mansonoides , Toxascaris leonina , Toxocara canis , and T. cati (Bowman et al 2002; Okulewicz et al 2012; Singh Dhaliwal and Juyal 2013). Leopardus guigna preys on the long-tailed colilargo, an important reservoir host of hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (Gálvez and Hernández 2009).…”
