Tunable Edge Filter as a Smart Energy Saving Window at the Hot Climates of the Baha Region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Abstract:This Study demonstrated a design of one-dimensional photonic crystal (PC) structure consisting of alternate layers of Silicon dioxide (Sio2) and Tantalum pentoxide (Ta2O5) that blocks infrared light and passes only light of short wavelengths. Results show a new design for optimal edge filter of optical shortwave pass (SWP) filter that can be used as a smart energy saving window.
