Tunable White Light-Emitting Devices Based on Unilaminar High-Efficiency Zn2+-Doped Blue CsPbBr3 Quantum Dots

Abstract: Perovskite-based white-light-emitting devices (WLEDs) are expected to be the potential candidate for the next-generation lighting field due to their scalability and low-cost process. However, simple and adjustable WLED fabrication technology is in urgent need. Here, WLEDs with a single layer of perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) were constructed by combining Zn2+-doped CsPbBr3 PQDs with exciplex emission between poly(9-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) and ((1-phenyl-1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)benzene)) (TPBi). Zn2+-doped CsPbBr… Show more

“…Here, the pristine CsPbBr 3 QDs were obtained with oleic acid and OAm as surface ligands by the hot‐injection method. [ 11 ] As displayed in Figure a, pristine CsPbBr 3 QDs exhibit nanoplate morphology, but undergo severe aggregation due to the small crystal sizes (yellow rectangle). The d ‐spacing of 0.29 nm in Figure 1b is indexed to (200) plane.…”

“…That is why a solution-processed optoelectronic system for the fabrication of WLEDs, as well as sensing and imaging devices, has become essential for better implementation in daily life. In this regard, FRET has emerged as a revolutionary phenomenon as it gives us supreme prediction capability to choose suitable donor and acceptor conjugates for different applications. ,,, The FRET-based system can be a practical answer where reabsorbed energy is utilized to excite the other components. In white light generation, a suitable selection of FRET allies can efficiently illuminate the entire visible range of wavelengths.…”

“…52,53 Similar to Mn 2+ doping, the hot-injection method was also applied for the doping of other transition metal cations (e.g., Ni 2+ , Zn 2+ , Cd 2+ , Cu 2+ , Cu + , Ag + , Ti 3+ , and Fe 3+ ) in cesium lead halide perovskite NCs. 14,24,56,[72][73][74][75][76][77][78][79][80][81] Specifically, copper ion exhibits oxidation numbers of +1 and +2. Generally, Cu 2+ can be readily doped in CsPbX 3 (X = Cl, Br, I or mixture) NCs.…”
