Tuning the Structural and Magnetic Properties of the Stuffed Framework Structures MeFe2O4 (Me = Ni, Ca, and Sr)

Abstract: Spinel ferrite nanoparticles (NPs), have received a lot of attention in medical applications. Therefore, facile synthesis of ferrite NPs of numerous shapes and sizes using the citrate autocombustion technique was utilized in this article. A series of ferrite with the general formula MeFe2O4 [Me = nickle (Ni), calcium (Ca), and strontium (Sr)] are synthesized with varying average ionic radii and cation disorder on the A-site. The structural and morphological characterization of the prepared samples was performe… Show more

“…6d) can be deconvoluted into four component peaks. The oxide species (O 2− ) are accountable for the observed component peaks at 529.63 and 531.42 eV, where the peroxide species are responsible for the peak component at 532.24 eV 30,31 . At 533.13 eV 35,36 , the OH-group can be assigned to the component.…”

“…Figure 3 illustrates the RS of virgin SF-NPs, showing five distinct peaks demonstrating the development of cubic SF caused by Co-O, Gd/Er-O, and Fe-O vibrations. The peaks at 674.58 cm −1 correspond to bands of the A 1g symmetry [38].…”

“…These values are higher than those given in the literature, which is attributed to the larger K + ionic radius compared to Ca 2+ . [32][33][34] The average size of crystallites (DSC = 140.07 nm) is calculated through the classical Debye-Scherrer equation, 28 employing the full width at half maximum.…”
