Abstract:This study contains a mathematical model for river pollution and its remediation for an unsteady state and investigates the effect of aeration on the degradation of pollutants. The governing equation is a pair of nonlinear time-fractional two-dimensional advection-diffusion equations for pollutant and dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration.
