Abstract:The parameter εK measures CP violation in the neutral kaon system. It is a sensitive probe of new physics and plays a prominent role in the global fit of the Cabibbo-Kobabyashi-Maskawa matrix. As one of the first discovered sources of CP violation, it has been measured in experiment to permil precision. A simple reparametrization of the efFective Hamiltonian has been recently shown to drastically reduce the perturbative errors coming from the charm-quark corrections, making the electroweak corrections relevant… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
