“…Because of the high frequency of A. fumigatus isolation from tulip bulbs, there might be certain mechanisms by which A. fumigatus colonizes and infects the plant tissue, enabling persistence across bulb progenies. Notably, some A. fumigatus strains were isolated from Citrus macrocarpa, Myricaria laxiflora, Ligusticum wallichii , and Moringa oleifera (Francisco et al, 2020, Qin et al, 2019, Li et al, 2020, Arora and Kaur, 2019) as an endophyte. In general, however, the view that A. fumigatus has an endophytic mode in its life cycle remains to be established.…”

“…Two novel sesquiterpenes named , Fumagillene A (69) and Fumagillene B (70) were separated from EtOAc extract of endophytic fungi Aspergillus fumigatus isolated from the root of Ligusticum wallichii . Compound (69) exhibited cytotoxicity against MDA-ME-231 and MV4-11 cancer cell lines with IC 50 s of 8.4 ± 2.9 and 4.3 ± 5.8 μg/ml, while compound (70) showed activity at 11.2 ± 3.6 and 17.3 ± 6.4 μg/ml respectively ( Li et al., 2020c ). Proversilin C (71) and Proversilin E (72) are unprecedented drimane-type sesquiterpenoids which were obtained from fungi Aspergillus versicolor F210, an endophyte associated with Lycoris radiata .…”

“…Fumagillene A ( 20 ) showed moderate growth inhibition against the cancer cell lines MDA‐ME‐231 and MV4‐11 with IC 50 values of 14.3 ± 5.8 and 8.4 ± 2.9 μg ml −1 , respectively. Fumagillene B ( 21 ) also exhibited moderate inhibition against MDA‐ME‐231 and MV4‐11 with IC 50 values of 17.3 ± 6.4 and 11.2 ± 3.6 μg ml −1 (Li et al 2020c).…”
