Two-step spacetime deformation-induced dynamical torsion

Abstract: We extend the geometrical ideas of the spacetime deformations to study the physical foundation of the post-Riemannian geometry. To this aim, we construct the theory of two-step spacetime deformation as a guiding principle. We address the theory of teleparallel gravity and construct a consistent Einstein-Cartan (EC) theory with the dynamical torsion. We show that the equations of the standard EC theory, in which the equation defining torsion is the algebraic type and, in fact, no propagation of torsion is allow… Show more

“…The proposed theory explores a spontaneous breaking of gravitation gauge symmetry ( [18,9,10] and earlier references cited therein, which thoroughly discussed in [11,12]). Much use has been made of the language of fundamental geometric structure, that is, a distortion gauge induced fiber-bundle, incorporating with the spacetime deformation/distortionframework [12,19,20].…”

“…In the framework of spacetime deformation theory ( [19] and references therein), we consider a smooth deformation map Ω : M 4 → M 4 , written in the terms of the world-deformation tensor Ω, the general, M 4 , and the flat, M 4 , smooth differential 4D-manifolds. A following notational conventions will be used throughout this paper.…”

“…This extension, suitable for applications in extremely high energy astrophysics, is a bold assumption in its own right. In its present formulation, this theory exploits the language of the fundamental geometric structure-distortion gauge induced fiber-bundle, which provides a modified gravitational theory, as a corollary of the spacetime deformation/distortion framework, suggested by Ter-Kazarian (2015a) (see also Ter-Kazarian 2011, 2015b. It should be emphasized, that the standard Riemannian (and its extensions) space interacting quantum field theory cannot be a satisfactory ground for addressing the problems in quest.…”

“…The metric deformations so defined provide a valuable method for the investigation of some local and global properties of space-times. For example in the investigation of stability of space-times with stationary singularities [3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11]. Noteworthy the solutions of the f (R) theories and the corresponding solutions of Einstein equations are related by a conformal transformation.…”
