Abstract: Imam Shafi`i (150/767 - 204/820) was one of the most eminent Islamic scholars, prolific authors and an earlier jurisprudence and founder of shafi`i school of thought. He had made his great contribution in various religious disciplines including Islamic literature. He also produced writings in poetic form which fulfills the measurements of prosody.
