Über einige, den Cumaranring enthaltende Tocole

Abstract

Das aus dem L-4-Methyl-sulfoxyd-n-butylamin erhaltene Harnstoffderivat erwies sich mit dem aus naturlichem Sulforaphen gewonnenen analogen Produkt in jeder Hinsicht identisch.Fur die Konfiguration des linksdrehendea Sulforaphens und fur diejenige aller mit ihm in der Konfiguration der Sulfoxydgruppe sterisch ubereinstimmenden Derivate wird die Bezeichnung L-Konfiguration vorgeschlagen.Als die Erforschung der Konstitution der Tocopherole in ihren Anfangen stand, wurde die Frage diskutiertl), ob diese Verbindungen einen Chroman-oder Cumaranring enthalten. Sie liess sich bekanntlich ziemlich schnell zugunsten des Chromanringes entscheiden.Trotzdem ware es von Interesse, auch die isomeren Cumaranderivate kennen zu lernen und ihre biologische Wirksamkeit mit jener der Chromanverbindungen zu vergleichen. Nun sind allerdings einige einfa,chere Cumaranderivate rnit tocopheroliihnlicher Struktur im Zusammenhang mit Untersuchungen auf dem Vitamin E-Gebiet schon fruher synthetisiert worden, so das 2,4,6,7-Tetramethyl-5-oxycumaran2) und das 2-Athyl-4,6,7-trimethyl-5-oxycumaran. Ersteres entstand nach der Methode von CZaise.n3) durch Kondensation yon Trimethylhydrochinon rnit Allylbromid, letzteres aus Natriumpropionyl-essigester und Trimethylchinon rnit anschliessender Hydrierung des Cumarons zum Cumaranderivat nach dem Verfahren von L. J . Smith und McMuZlen4). Bergel und Mitarbeiter haben die Synthese von rSmith und McMuZZen auf hohere Homologe des Acetessigesters iibertragen und gelangten so zum 4,6,7-Trimethyl-5-oxy-2-nheptadecyl-cumaran (I).

Analysis of Vapor Pressures Using Family Variations: A Case Study of Hexadecanol Isomers
