Übersetzung des revised MISSCARE Survey zum deutschsprachigen revised MISSCARE-Austria

Abstract

Zusammenfassung. Hintergrund: Fragebogenübersetzungen in der deutschsprachigen Pflegewissenschaft setzen trotz zunehmender Kritik auf Methoden mit Erst- und Rückübersetzung. Dem entgegen wird die TRAPD-Methode als best practice anerkannt. Erfahrungswerte mit der Anwendung dieser Methode in der deutschsprachigen Pflegewissenschaft fehlen jedoch. Ziel: Die Anwendung der TRAPD-Methode am Bespiel der Übersetzung vom revised MISSCARE Survey vom Englischen ins Deutsche darzustellen sowie notwendige Adaptierungen, Vorteile und Limitationen der Methode zu diskutieren. Methode: Eine adaptierte Version der teambasierten Übersetzungsmethode TRAPD durch die Schritte Vorbereitung, Übersetzung, Review, Adjudikation, Prätest und Dokumentation wurde umgesetzt, basierend auf den GESIS Guidelines für Fragebogengestaltung und Übersetzung. Ergebnisse: Das revised MISSCARE Austria Instrument besteht aus 85 Items. Für die Mehrzahl der Items wurden äquivalente Termini gefunden, die eine eindeutige Übersetzung ermöglichten. Bei einzelnen Items wurde eine Adaptierung aus kulturellen, Messung- und Konstrukt-bezogenen Gründen notwendig. Die Äquivalenz der Übersetzung wurde bei komplexen Items mit der Entwicklerin geprüft und durch mehrmalige kognitive Prätests mit Pflegepersonen gefördert. Schlussfolgerungen: Die Studie bestärkt die Aussage, dass die TRAPD-Methode für die Übersetzung von Messinstrumenten ebenfalls in der deutschsprachigen Pflegewissenschaft geeignet ist. Sie zeigt aber auch, dass weitere Erfahrungen für eine Weiterentwicklung von methodischen Spezifika für unsere Disziplin erforderlich sind.
