Abstract:In this paper, a model-free adaptive control scheme is proposed to address the problem of system performance variations due to inaccurate models of overhead cranes, and external disturbances. First, an adaptive fast integral terminal sliding mode controller with a prespecified performance setting is proposed to accelerate the convergence of the sliding mode surface. In addition, an improved form of performance function is introduced to ensure the high accuracy convergence of state errors, while effectively enh… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
