Ultrasensitive and Selective Electrochemical Sensor Based on Yttrium Benzenetricarboxylate Porous Coordination Polymer (Y-BTC) for Detection of Pb2+ from Bio-Analytes

Abstract: Due to industrialization, the presence of heavy metal ions in various sources of drinking water causes damage to the ecosystem. Determination of heavy metal ions is still arduous due to their toxicity and carcinogenic behavior to humankind. The present investigation deals with the development of a novel ultrasensitive electrochemical sensor for the detection of Lead (Pb2+) from pesticide and fruit cores. Repetitive laboratory-scale aqueous samples have been tested to validate all sensing parameters, particular… Show more

“…In the last few years, multi-metallic clusters have demonstrated their usefulness in a variety of fields, including structural modeling, optics [91], sensorbased applications [92], drug delivery [93], and antimicrobial substances. After combining metals with ceramics, polymers, and drugs, there was still potential to form a complex using two metals and incorporate it with another substrate material.…”

“…Heavy metal ions (HMIs) are pervasive environmental pollutants known for their detrimental health effects and ecological consequences [ 1 , 2 ]. Heavy metals can enter the environment through industrial discharges, agricultural runoff, mining, and even natural erosion, and they tend to accumulate in soils, water bodies, and the food chain [ 3 , 4 , 5 ].…”
