Ultrasound‐assisted magnetic dispersive solid‐phase microextraction: A novel approach for the rapid and efficient microextraction of naproxen and ibuprofen employing experimental design with high‐performance liquid chromatography

Abstract: A simple, rapid, and sensitive method for the determination of naproxen and ibuprofen in complex biological and water matrices (cow milk, human urine, river, and well water samples) has been developed using ultrasound-assisted magnetic dispersive solid-phase microextraction. Magnetic ethylendiamine-functionalized graphene oxide nanocomposite was synthesized and used as a novel adsorbent for the microextraction process and showed great adsorptive ability toward these analytes. Different parameters affecting the… Show more

“…Graphene and graphene oxide as one of the carbon nano‐allotropes with unique properties, including large surface area, high material absorbed, and excellent mechanical properties, is widely applied as a sorbent in the adsorption method (Wang, Sun, Ang, & Tadé, 2013). A disadvantage of these nanomaterials as the sorbent is the difficulty of their separation from sample solution after the pollutant adsorption due to their small particle size and formation of a colloidal state in the sample solution (Ghorbani, Chamsaz, & Rounaghi, 2016; Sherlala, Raman, Bello, & Asghar, 2018). Usage of magnetic graphene oxide nanocomposite can be assisted to easily separate the sorbent in the present, a strong magnet, and reduce the time of sorbent separation dramatically.…”

“…Solid-phase microextraction (SPME) has attracted numerous attention [2,3] because it has many unique advantages over other methods, like stir bar sportive extraction [4], liquid-liquid extraction [5] and solid phase extraction (SPE) [6][7][8], for instance, being solvent-free, economical, and ease of operation. Various extraction configurations emerge in endlessly such as fiber [9], in-tube [10], stir bar [11], in tip [12], and dispersive SPE and SPME [13][14][15]. Among them, the combination of intube SPME and HPLC makes a possibility of high-throughput Article Related Abbreviations: DAD, diode array detector; EFs, enrichment factors; FLD, fluorescence detector; MSPE, magnetic solid-phase extraction; PEEK, polyetheretherketone; r, correlation coefficients; UVD, ultraviolet detector.…”
