Abstract:Accelerating the alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), which involves the slow cleavage of HO‐H bonds and the adsorption/desorption of hydrogen (H*) and hydroxyl (OH*) intermediates, requires developing catalysts with optimal binding strengths for these intermediates.
