Understanding NO2 Concentration Dynamics within Tema Metropolitan Area of Ghana Using Generalized Linear Model

Abstract: The concentration of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) is worsening across the globe alongside growth in industrial and general anthropogenic activities. Due to its serious health implications with long-term exposure, studies on NO2 concentration have gained space in the academic literature. In this study, awareness is created on the levels of NO2 across four (4) locations within the Tema Metropolitan area, with specific interest in selecting locations and periods significantly saturated with NO2 within the study area. N… Show more

“…Similarly, [3] study in Nanjing utilizes UAV-based remote sensing to explore the relationship between vegetation dynamics, atmospheric pollutants, and meteorological factors, shedding light on the potential of greening strategies to mitigate air pollution. [86] study in the Tema Metropolitan area of Ghana also underscores the adverse impacts of NO2 pollution on public health and urban livability, highlighting the need for effective monitoring and policy interventions. Additionally, Khan's [11] research in Pakistan emphasizes the importance of GIS and remote sensing technologies in assessing air quality and advocating for greening initiatives to combat urban air pollution.…”
