Understanding the paleomires of Eocene lignites of Kachchh Basin, Gujarat (Western India): petrological implications

Abstract: The present paper entails the results of the investigations carried out on the lignite deposits of Kachchh Basin. The lignite samples were drawn from five lignite seams from Panandhro lignite field (Seam-I to -V) and eight lignite seams (Seam-I to -VIII) from the Matanomadh lignite field which are currently operational. The petrographic analysis of the lignites indicates a dominance of huminite group of macerals which is mainly contributed by ulminite-A, ulminite-B, attrinite, densinite, and phlobaphinite. “…Pyrite with framboidal morphology is found in water columns of modern anoxic basins (e.g. Muramoto et al., 1991; Singh et al., 2013, 2017), hydrothermal veins, and other ore deposit types (e.g. Allen and Hahn, 1994; Darling, 1987; Halbach et al., 1993).…”

“…The lignites of Kutch were formed in a coastal swampmarsh during a transgressive phase (Singh et al, 2017). Organic matters were derived predominantly from terrestrial or mixed terrestrial-marine settings (Khozyem et al, 2021;Sahay, 2011;Singh, 2021).…”

“…After the data had been prepared, model construction were performed [20]. Singh and Singh [47] stated that the training dataset was used to train on building a model. Once a predictive model was built using training dataset, the performance of the model must be validated using new data.…”

“…Providing better education will need a lot of parameters to understand the process upon level of student understanding [47]. A lot of researchers used predictive technique and tools to discover hidden characteristic [52] to minimize the failure rate among the student.…”
