Uniqueness under spectral variation in the socle of a Banach algebra

Abstract: Let A be a complex semisimple Banach algebra with identity, and denote by σ ′ (x) and ρ(x) the nonzero spectrum and spectral radius of an element x ∈ A, respectively.
