Unsteady shock wave dynamics in accelerating and decelerating flight

Abstract: Increasingly agile manoeuvre is an advantage in the flight of aircraft, missiles and aerial vehicles, but the principles of accelerating aerodynamics in the transonic regime are only now being fully investigated.
