The energies and intensities of high energy gamma radiation from thermal neutron capture in an enriched sample of 174Yb have been determined by means of a Ge(Li) pair spectrometer. An internal reactor target has been used. A number of new primary gamma lines corresponding to transitions in 175Yb between the capture state and energy levels up to 2.2 MeV with low K-values have been observed. The neutron separation energy of 175Yb was found to be 5 822.6±0.5 keV.
