“…This is smaller than for "indirect" ͑not Fe-site͒ electron-doped superconductors, such as NdFeAsO 1−x F x , where values of 4 -5 T K −1 have been observed. 46 However, similar values are reported for other cobalt-doped superconductors 13,39 suggesting that the superconductivity in these materials is less robust against applied magnetic fields.…”

“…Near T c , the anisotropy parameter γ H = H ||ab c (T )/H ⊥ab c (T ) has a value of 10, similar to the 1111 iron pnictides [25] but significantly larger than the value of ∼2 in the 122s [26]. When the magnetic field is parallel to the conducting plane, we use the single-band Werthamer-HelfandHohenberg (WHH) model [27] and fit the zero-resistance data points near T c to predict H c2 (0) ≈ 30 T, which is close to the irreversibility field of 32 T measured in torque at 1.5 K. When the magnetic field is perpendicular to the Fe-As layers (H ⊥ ab), the superconducting phase boundary shows a strong concave curvature that cannot be captured by the onegap WHH model and is suggestive of multi-band superconductivity in this system, as seen in the closely related 10-4-8 superconducting phase [28] or other anisotropic systems such as the 1111 pnictides [29] and cuprates.…”

“…1c shows the detailed structure of a grain boundary between two apparently well connected grains. It contains an amorphous layer of about 10 nm in thickness (Type-B), which is lager than the coherence length ~1-2 nm [11][12], consequently resulting in a current blocking effect. Similar amorphous layers around individual grains have been reported in NdFeAsO 1-δ and Sr 0.6 K 0.4 Fe 2 As 2 [13][14].…”
