Urinary diversion in patients with muscle-invasive bladder cancer and severe ureteral stricture: A case report of a new surgical technique

Abstract: The use of an ileal segment has been previously described in the treatment of long-segment ureteral strictures. The aim of this study was to describe the use of a skin and muscle flap tube as an alternative procedure to perform ureterocutaneostomy in patients who are not eligible for the use of bowel segments in the urinary diversion or when the patients are at high risk of morbidity and mortality.
