Since the COVID-19 pandemic started, the number of young adults experiencing depression has increased. Most of them need help, but they are not aware that they have the symptoms of depression because they lack knowledge about depression. It is one of the reasons why the number of people with depression keeps escalating. Thus, this study aims to design and validate the design elements of an anti-depression mobile application named Happy Path. This mobile application is aimed at helping young adults handle negative emotions that may lead to depression. The most effective therapeutic approaches, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Beck Depression Inventory are adopted in Happy Path to deliver therapeutic content through the application. Thus, this paper describes the design and validation procedure for the anti-depression mobile application through the expert review method. After the experts evaluated the mobile application, several modifications were made based on their comments to improve the effectiveness of the application. Based on the findings of the expert review, it was found that the design of Happy Path is suitable for depressed people among young adults. The finalised prototype will be used in the future actual data collection.

This research aims to develop an Android mobile application that allows registration and control of attendance in educational institutions based on Machine Learning and Cloud Computing technology. For this, the project management methodology XP (EXtreme Programming) is used, in whose phases the entire process of implementation of the application and the launch are detailed; likewise, Firebase is used as a service for database management. The application tests were carried out on the students of the seventh semester of the Professional School of Systems Engineering of the University of Peru. The attendance control system was connected to a database that stores student information and attendance records. To implement the QR code attendance record functionality, the Firebase Machine Learning kit was used to Validate the student attendance record. In addition, the user interface displays the attendance records from an attractive, intuitive approach that is easy for teachers and students to manage. The results of the research show that the use of the application by teachers and students reduces and optimize the time invested in the attendance registration process compared to traditional methods, according to the satisfaction and acceptance criteria of the mobile application called "ASYS."

BukuWarung has been known as a MSME’s bookkeeping application in Indonesia. As the features developed, there were disappointed responses from Playstore reviews, social media, and research interviews who complained about the usability aspect of this application, thus triggering the desire for users to stop using the application. This condition motivates the author to assess the impact level of usability in aspects of Effectiveness, Efficiency, and Satisfaction on user retention. This study used a partial least square–structural equation model method. The total of 248 user samples was obtained using simple random sampling and voluntary response techniques. The research uses CSUQ, as well as questions for user retention. For data testing used Ms. Excel and SmartPLS version 3.3.3. According to the measurement model, 7 of 22 all variables were deleted. This study proves that Effectiveness, Efficiency, and Satisfaction have a positive and significant effect of up to 74.8% on user retention. However, the size of influence and relative influence is weak on user retention. User retention indicators affected by usability are increasing purchases as tenure grows, customer referrals, and premium prices. The implication for BukuWarung is to conduct usability testing on each feature.
