Users' acceptance of an electronic record management system in the context of the oil and gas sector in Yemen: an application of ISSM-TAM

Abstract: The use of information systems success model (ISSM) combined with the technology acceptance model (TAM) in this study focuses on new technology acceptance. Specifically, it aims to measure users' behaviours and acceptance of an ERMS. This study utilises a survey of employees in the O&G sector in Yemen, with a total 415 survey questionnaires collected. Data analysis was performed by deploying structural equation modelling (SEM) using Smart-PLS (v.3.2.8). The results reveal that users in the O&G sector are influ… Show more

“…The higher the degree of perceived ease of use and the perceived usefulness is, the higher the satisfaction level will be. The prior conclusion is consistent with the argument that is proposed by studies from [111][112][113]. These studies focused on the effectiveness of TAM in different fields such as the agricultural and oil industries and arrived at the conclusion that TAM factors have a varying degree of effectiveness and can significantly affect the acceptance of online learning platforms virtually and practically.…”

“…In addition, relatively comprehensive research to support scientific decision-making has not yet been conducted, nor has significant progress been made in related research and application areas. The above text refers to the urgent need for an information management technology platform, especially in support of pipeline network studies, pipeline lifecycle data collection, scientific visualization of historical data, and real-time assessment (Hawash et al, 2021). The text describes in detail the essential functions and critical processes of the virtual modelling system, as well as the design of the critical processes for virtual modelling and distribution station objectives through the 3D engine.…”

“…The digital file management system electronics the traditional paper files through technical means so that the search and utilization of the files are not restricted by the region. The designer or archivist archives archival data through the digital file management system, including project result documents, project process documents, incoming and outgoing documents, scientific research data, contract data, financial data, paper entries, award-winning projects, audio-visual projects, and infrastructure projects, so that users can access and utilize the data anytime and anywhere, making the archiving of archives more meaningful [7][8]. Compared to foreign countries, the late start of the domestic archival management model and the relatively weak awareness of archival management have made China lag behind in the development of digital archival management systems, given that the main carriers of archival storage management are paper and relatively few electronic carriers are stored [9].…”
