This chapter outlines the effect of technology, highlighting the need for change in ELTE programs to empower prospective EFL instructors to incorporate technology in their future teaching satisfactorily. It introduces the technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) framework and dissects its subdomains. It also contends that TPACK training could form teachers' competencies in technology integration in their classes. In addition, it provides an overview of computer-assisted language learning. It presents a historical overview of CALL and why its term shines over other terminology. It also outlines the role of computers in education, encapsulates a typology of CALL, and discusses its benefits. Besides, it delineates EFL TPACK, which underpins CALL integration in ELTE. It then examines recent empirical evidence to support the EFL TPACK framework in ELTE.
