Energy efficiency is a global problem that has become a top priority for all developed countries in recent years. Limited energy resources and high pollution worldwide have led to an increase in research and development in terms of energy efficiency. In the present work, one of the energy-efficient methods for heating by using infrared sources is focused. The advantages of infrared heaters compared to standard heating sources are underlined. A comparative study of the energy consumed during heating by the most frequently used by the heating systems has been made, and the results of the theoretically calculated power costs are presented. An intelligent system has been developed for the management of the infrared heaters to reduce the consumption of electricity better. The intelligent control system is based on a fuzzy-logic control and an internet of things. Results of simulation experiments of the intelligent system are presented as well as of the application of the system in a real environment. During the experiments, the system successes to control the heaters and to reduce power consumption. The achieved results prove that signal processing and control can improve the performance by using modern sensor systems, thereby additional efficiency can be achieved by using the infrared heating. It is possible to develop different optimization systems and algorithms for increasing the energy efficiency of different heating systems.

This paper presents a design for developing an IoT-based smart home monitoring system with the addition of security features. This research aims to design and develop a smart home monitoring system that uses the IoT which operates via the web and improves the security aspects of the system. This research includes the development of hardware and software that enables efficient and safe monitoring and control of various aspects of the home via smartphone or computer-based devices using resources from solar power plants. This system relies on the use of a Raspberry Pi as a microcontroller and several sensors. In this context has important value in maintaining user security, and privacy and supports the growing development of the smart home technology industry.</p></div>

Under the dual carbon strategy, with the frequent occurrence of extreme weather and the further increase in uncertainty of multi-user behavior, it is urgent to improve the stability of the heating systems and reduce heating energy consumption. Aiming at the problem of fault-disturbance control of the multi-user heating network in an integrated energy system, this paper proposes a novel analysis method of resistance–capacitance reactance based on the circuit principle to construct a dynamic thermal-power-flow model of the whole link of the multi-user heating network and analyze the fault-disturbance propagation characteristics of the heating network by this model. It shows that the difference in disturbance characteristics of different users in a multi-user heating network mainly depends on the characteristics of the heating pipeline between the heat user and the heat source, which provides a necessary basis for formulating intelligent control strategies against fault disturbance. Finally, taking a typical daily outdoor temperature in Beijing in winter as an example, this paper compares two different heating strategies and the blocker installation methods of the multi-user heating network to obtain a better heating strategy under actual conditions. Considering the heating fault disturbance, this paper proposes a novel intelligent heating strategy whose heating temperature will decrease during the fault-disturbance time, with an energy saving of about 16.5% compared with the heating strategy under actual conditions during the same period.
