“…Also, while up to 90% of early-onset sarcoidosis patients and up to 54% of older children with sarcoidosis develop uveitis (36)(37)(38)(39), the association between GA and uveitis is weak. To our knowledge, only nine patients with GA-associated inflammatory eye disease have been reported, none of whom presented with Koeppe or Busacca nodules (40,41). Finally, serum ACE levels are usually normal in GA (42).…”

“…Interestingly, 9 patients (including 2 children) with granuloma annulare (GA) in association with chronic uveitis (typically severe intermediate uveitis with retinal vasculitis) have been reported in the ophthalmologic literature. 7,8 Because clinical and histologic descriptions of the skin lesions were not provided for all of these cases, it is possible that some might have been better classified as IGD. Although GA (especially the patch type) can resemble IGD clinically, and there is histologic overlap between the two conditions, GA differs in its tendency to have a discontinuous, ''top heavy'' dermal infiltrate, abundant mucin deposition, and either larger palisades or a lack of palisades (eg, in the interstitial pattern seen in patch-type GA).…”

“…As a fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody, it is expected to have less immunogenicity and secondary antibody-mediated loss of efficacy. 1,2 Despite clinical reports of antiadalimumab antibodies, impact on long-term clinical response is unclear. 4 One recent study demonstrated adalimumab to be efficacious for psoriasis treatment of patients with no previous exposure to TNF antagonists.…”

“…1,2 Although no standardized comparison trial exists, infliximab appears to be the most rapidly effective, but this initial efficacy is often eventually lost with the development of human antichimeric antibodies in 15% to 69% of patients. [1][2][3] Adalimumab, the third TNF-␣ antagonist, is currently in phase III trials for psoriasis treatment. As a fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody, it is expected to have less immunogenicity and secondary antibody-mediated loss of efficacy.…”
