“…Before examining the predictive validity of the FEVQ-PE, we performed an EFA to test the factor structure of the Intention to be Physically Active Scale (Dupont et al, 2009). As in the previous analyses, polychoric correlation matrices, robust weighted least squares estimation and direct oblimin roration were used (Baglin, 2014; Hair et al, 2010; Osborne, 2014).…”

“…The factor structure of the four-factor 17-item FEVQ-PE that emerged from the EFA analyses was tested through a replication analysis using an EFA, following the same procedure as in the first study. To test its predictive validity, participants completed the 17-item FEVQ-PE and the French-validated Intention to be Physically Active Scale (Dupont, Carlier, Philippe, & Delens, 2009). This scale consisted of four items (“I’m interested in developing my physical fitness,” “Outside PE lessons I like to do sport,” “After graduation I would like to take part in sport club training,” and “After graduation I would like to be physically active”), which are rated on a five-point Likert scale ranging from 1 ( strongly disagree ) to 5 ( strongly agree ).…”
