Abstract:Numerous techniques for empirical correction of the dominant once per revolution orbit error present in satellite altimeter data have been suggested along with various tests of their validity. These validations typically involve comparison of data from other sources, for example tide gauges, with altimetry, comparison of different orbit error models with which to approximate the radial error, or comparison of variabilities from collinear analyses with those from crossover differences. A new means of validating… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
