Abstract:The Chinese version of the PISQ-12 has a high reliability and validity in the Chinese population and, therefore, is highly recommended for clinical treatment and research.
“…Correlation analysis values of the similar studies conducted on the issue correspond to the findings in our study: PISQ‐12 Swedish validation and reliability study by Teleman et al (r = 0.94; P < 0.001); validation and reliability study by Su and Lau (r = 0.93; P < 0.001). On the other hand, Portuguese validation and reliability study by Santana et al (r = 0.77; P < 0.01), Chinese validation and reliability study by Zhu et al (r = 0.74; P < 0.01), and results of the validation study on women who had vaginal reconstruction (0.87) by Occhino et al indicate lower test–retest correlation analysis of the repeated measures of PISQ‐12. Therefore, the present study was found to have adequate and high test–retest reliability in repeated measures and consistent with similar results on the issue.…”

“…Another commonly used reliability method that identifies whether the instrument has measurement capability is Cronbach's Alpha Reliability Coefficient (internal consistency). Cronbach's Alpha Reliability Coefficient results of the PISQ‐12 in several studies were found to be over 0.70: Portuguese and Spanish (Cronbach's α = 0.79), Chinese (Cronbach's α = 0.73). Cronbach's Alpha Reliability Coefficient for the internal consistency was found ∝ = 0.74 for the Turkish adaptation of PISQ‐12 in the present study.…”

“…PISQ‐12, with level B evidence in terms of practicality, is widely applied and recommended to be used by the International Continence Society (ICS) as well . The questionnaire was translated into Chinese, Portuguese, Swedish, Spanish, and French with its validation and reliability studies and publication.…”
The Turkish version of the PISQ-12 is a reliable, consistent and valid instrument to assess sexual function in women with urinary incontinence and/or pelvic organ prolapse. It is also a comprehensive and easily applicable instrument which as a treatment outcome or research tool in clinical practices.

“…The PISQ-12 was completed by sexually active patients to assess the quality of their sexual life. A higher PISQ-12 score indicates better sexual function [15].…”
In the long term, the proportion of patients with complications and the cure rates of the two procedures did not differ significantly. The long-term complication rates were high, but morbidity was low, and the QOL remained improved.
“…Sexual outcomes were assessed at 6 months after surgery using the Short‐Form Prolapse/Urinary Incontinence Sexual Questionnaire (PISQ‐12) [12], which is easy to understand and has been validated for Chinese‐speaking populations [13]. Twelve items are used to assess sexual function and feelings over the previous 6 months in three areas: behavioral/emotive (score range 0–16); physical (0–20); and partner‐related (0–12).…”
