“Values” in Russian Scientific Discourse

Within the framework of the conceptual approach, the article presents one of the possible ways to evaluate the journalistic texts of Ugra as a component of “community journalism”. The purpose of the article is to describe the journalistic potential of Ugra journalistic texts as a community text based on a conceptual approach. Journalistic texts of Ugra authors on Ugra information portals were used as research materials. The result of the study was the clarification of the concepts of “local journalistic text” and “community journalistic text”, the criteria by which we refer a particular media text to a community journalistic text were determined. The regional component of the journalistic text is proposed to be evaluated through the analysis of its conceptual sphere. Having analyzed more than 900 journalistic publications on the information portals of Ugra, the author identifies their basic concepts and concludes that they define the general mental space of Ugra and ensure the semantic integrity of the journalistic texts of Ugra. It is concluded that due to the general conceptual sphere, the journalistic texts of Ugra not only exist as a whole, as a meta-text, but also develop, remain modern and meet the socio-cultural needs of readers. The conceptual spheres defining the mental field of Ugra in the regional media are highlighted and presented in the form of a diagram, the basic concepts on the basis of which the vast majority of texts of Ugra journalists are based are determined. By the example of the analysis of the community journalistic texts of the authors of Ugra, general conclusions are drawn regarding a number of features of the mental space of Ugra residents as a socio-cultural community. The scientific novelty of the study consists in the fact that an attempt is presented to substantiate the concept of “community journalistic text”, to highlight the basic criteria for its evaluation. In addition, the characteristic of journalistic texts of Ugra as a local cultural phenomenon from the standpoint of conceptual analysis is presented in studies of this kind for the first time.

The relevance of the article lies in the need for the authors to convey the results of private, local research to the scientific community in the most efficient way, and the possibility of their scientific interaction. The empirical basis of the study was the data of the Russian scientific electronic library elibrary, in which all Russian, as well as many foreign scientific journals are registered. The purpose of the article is to reveal the possibilities of publishing the results of research by Russian and foreign authors on the topic “Mass communication. Journalism. Mass media" in domestic journals. The study was carried out from general to specific in accordance with the GRNTI codifier. To determine the location of the number of magazines in the thematic group “Mass Communication. Journalism.” “Mass Media" in the general list of journals they were arranged in descending order. By the number of journals (198), this topic ranks 44th out of 71. The possibilities for publishing research results in the field of mass communication are quite wide: authors can publish in journals on the following topics: philological, philosophical, sociological and political sciences. The characteristics of scientific journals in the elibrary on the topic “Mass Communication. Journalism. Mass media". When making decisions about which journals to publish their research, authors should be guided by the qualitative characteristics of these journals. The scientific electronic library (SEL) elibrary allows you to obtain information on many characteristics. The article examines an example of a scientific journal included in the core of the RSCI on the topic “Mass Communication. Journalism. Mass media" — magazine of the Baikal State University (Irkutsk) "Issues of the theory and practice of journalism." The number of articles, the number of authors, their geography, the number of citations, the two-year impact factor of the RSCI, the ten-year H-index of the journal, the percentile of the journal in the Science Index ranking are given. The research will be useful for real and potential authors and for the editors of other scientific journals of any subject, and especially the subject of “Mass Communication. Journalism. Mass media". The main conclusion for publishers should be a conclusion about the place of their own journal in the rankings and its numerous indicators, for authors — the optimal decision on choosing a journal for publishing an article.

Formation of the Professional Worldview of Future Journalists in the Process of Studying at University (Opinion of the Expert Community from the CIS Countries)

The article is devoted to the role of higher journalism education as an institution of professional socialization of future journalists. The purpose of this research was to study the ideas of employees of the higher education system about the mission of journalism educators to introduce students to the values of the professional community. The empirical basis of the study was the materials from a series of semi-structured interviews conducted in 2022–2023 with teachers of professional journalistic disciplines and/or organizers of journalistic education from Armenia, Belarus, Russia and Tajikistan. In the self-reflection of journalism educators, assessments of the degree of influence of the education system on the process of forming the worldview of a future journalist, ideas about the role of theoretical disciplines as a source of normative attitudes and a set of ideas that should be included in the ideological core of professional journalism education in the studied countries in accordance with current social expectations were highlighted. In particular, expert from Russia and Armenia called the patriotic education of journalists a key public demand in recent years. In Russia, the education system is only trying to adapt to the new demands of the social environment, while in Armenia the idea of educating journalists in a patriotic way has been implemented for the last 20 years. Experts from Belarus named the defense of historical truth in relation to the role of the USSR as a winner in World War II as a key idea requiring inclusion in the thematic register of journalistic disciplines. The participants of the study noted the need for regular contacts in the educational space of the CIS.
