The concept of defensive and positive law on Communal Intellectual Property in its development is not sufficient to provide protection for developing countries, including Indonesia, which contain a wealth of living and non-living natural resources. The wealth of these natural resources is often claimed by a foreign nation, either in the form of patents or brands that are economically profitable, without mentioning the source and origin of the discovery. One of them is the claim of a foreign brand which is indicated as geographically originating from Indonesia. This research aimed to offer an idea of the expansion of the protection concept and measures that need to be taken by the government to protect Indonesian Geographical Indications. The method applied in this research was a study of literature sourced from national and international journals through the use of internet media. The results of the study concluded that, First, the defensive and positive legal protection concept that has been known so far requires expansion by adding the protection concept economically in the manner of streamlining a clear management framework from the Regional Government. The said framework must be carried out from upstream to downstream, by ensuring that in the end, the registration of Geographical Indication must be able to prosper the community. Second, the protection of Geographical Indication must be carried out utilizing: Accelerating the collection of data on Geographical Indication nationally, Guiding and supervising the Regional Government to develop local products that have the potential for Geographical Indication, and Establishing special laws.

This qualitative study examined the relationship between travel anxiety and destination choice, specifically focusing on its implications for tourism marketing. Through in-depth interviews with individuals who have experienced travel anxiety, the study explored their past experiences and decision-making processes when selecting destinations. Participants were selected through purposive sampling, ensuring diverse travel anxiety levels and demographic backgrounds. Data analysis followed a thematic approach, using past tense verbs to capture participants' retrospective perspectives on their travel anxiety experiences. The findings revealed that travel anxiety significantly influenced destination choices, with various factors contributing to decision-making processes. Past tense verbs were employed to describe participants' experiences, emotions, and coping mechanisms during their previous travel experiences. These verbs highlighted the nuanced nature of travel anxiety and provided valuable insights into the specific triggers and manifestations of anxiety in different travel contexts. The implications for tourism marketing were identified through the lens of the findings. Strategies were proposed to address and alleviate travel anxiety, targeting specific stages of the decision-making process. Tourism marketers can tailor their marketing efforts to better accommodate and support individuals with travel anxiety, ultimately enhancing their overall travel experiences by comprehending the complex relationship between destination selection and travel anxiety. This study adds to the growing body of research on travel anxiety by shedding light on people's individual experiences and providing tourism marketers with practical implications. The long-term effects of marketing interventions on reducing travel anxiety and increasing destination satisfaction should be the subject of additional research.

“…Meanwhile, with regard to economic benefits, guarantees as well as legal protection for GI products in Indonesia is not the obligation of the craftmen or farmer associations but the obligations of the local government and related ministries. It is necessary to expand the obligations and authorities of the Regional Government to not only carry out periodic monitoring and evaluation related to these technical matters but also to make real efforts to provide economic benefit from the GI certification that has been registered (Asri et al, 2022). Other similar studies have been related to how GI can make communities more prosperous with improved products, but very few studies have focused on the potential of geographical indications born from indigenous communities that still follow their own customary laws.…”

The weaving of Baduy Lebak protected by the Geographical Indications (GI) of the Indonesian Banten Province: Could it be?

Baduy weaving is a distinctive cloth of the Baduy indigenous peoples of Banten upper province. Because Baduy weaving evolved from weaving, which is not society's primary activity, there is no management model in place to protect the qualities and characteristics of Baduy weaving, which are heavily influenced by the geographical features of the potential geographical indications or GI. This research has two goals: first, to develop a method for managing Baduy's creative industrial weaving based on geographical indications in the province of Banten; and second, to work on strategy and program so that Baduy weaving can become a superior competitive product in the province of Banten. This empirical study focuses on the operation of the law in society. Data sources include both primary and secondary data. The qualitative analysis was used in the method analysis. According to the research, Baduy's weaving management with a GI based in Baduy society is by developing a geographical indication approach based on the year 2016 statute on trademark and geographical indication. However, because management is still done on its own based on local creativity and the efforts of local governments in strategy and program, Baduy use of a GI based product in the province of Banten is generally in the 2021 comprehensive plan for the government's work.
