Van’ın Erciş, Gevaş ve Edremit ilçelerinde Biber, Domates ve Kavundan Fusarium spp. ve Rhizoctonia spp.’nin Teşhisi ve Patojeniteleri

Abstract: The aim of this study was to identify Rhizoctonia and Fusarium species isolated from tomato, pepper and melon plants grown in Erciş, Gevaş and Edremit districts of Van and to determine their pathogenicity. Survey studies were carried out in 2018 and 10 Rhizoctonia (from peppers whole Rhizoctonia solani; 2 AG-3, 1 AG-5, and 1 AG-2; from tomatoes 2 binucleic AG-K, 2 Rhizoctonia solani AG-4 and 2 Rhizoctonia solani AG-2) and 47 Fusarium isolates (10 from melons; 6 F. oxyporum, 2 F. solani, 2 F. equiseti and 6 Fus… Show more

“…This pathogen also caused decrease on plant fresh and dry weights and root lengths of melon plants. F. equiseti caused 46.3% severity but it did not significantly change plant growth parameters, whereas F. solani decreased root lengths of the plants with 53% severity (Teniz and Demirer Durak 2023). In this study, M. phaseolina and R. solani isolates also caused severe disease on melon seedlings.…”

“…They are not only a source of food for humans and animals and the main point of entrance of solar energy and organic carbon in ecosystems, but they also play a critical role in regulating the Earth's climate and sustaining the planet's biodiversity. However, plants are constantly under threat from various biotic and abiotic stresses, such as pests, diseases and environmental factors, like drought and salinity [1][2][3]. Under the current context of anthropogenic global warming, forest and cultivated plants must adapt to the novel conditions or become extinct [4,5].…”
