Abstract:Abstract:Background: Recent data suggest that a higher number of nodes evaluated in colectomy specimens for colorectal adenocarcinoma is associated with increased survival. Recommendations mandate the harvesting of at least 12 nodes in colectomy specimens for adequate assessment.
