Variação e divergência entre Snappers (Lutjaninae – Perciformes) do Atlântico sul ocidental: região controle mitocondrial para diagnose de pressão pesqueira ou novo Barcode para peixes?

Abstract: Snappers, como os Lutjanidae são conhecidos, estão amplamente distribuídos ao longo do Atlântico Ocidental, especialmente espécies do gênero Lutjanus, o mais abundante para esta região. Representam importantes recursos pesqueiros, sendo bastante capturados pela pesca comercial. Para a costa do Brasil, Atlântico Sul Ocidental, as espécies mais capturadas são L. purpureus, L. analis, L. synagris, O. chrysurus e o L. vivanus. “…Several studies focusing on the population structure, demographic history and genetic diversity have been carried in Lutjanidae species (snappers) from Western Atlantic. While population substructure has been commonly reported in several species of snappers from Northern Atlantic regions, such as the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico ( Vasconcellos et al, 2008 ; Karlsson, Saillant & Gold, 2009 ; Carson et al, 2011 ; Saillant et al, 2012 ; Silva et al, 2015 ; Silva et al, 2018 ), high levels of genetic variation, population expansion and panmixia have been detected in snappers from the Brazilian coast ( Silva et al, 2015 ; da Silva et al, 2016 ; Souza et al, 2019 ; Evangelista-Gomes et al, 2020 ).
